Trekking, Caving, Canyoning, Kayaking & Scuba Diving in Sardinia
Whilst many people are content to spend long lazy days on the beach, others will
often crave exercise and action! With the latter group in mind we have teamed
up with Keya, a local adventure company who arrange guided trekking tours, as
well as beginners courses in Canyoning and Caving in the nearby rugged Supramonte
Mountains.
All the tours start with a jeep ride up into the mountains to the starting point
of the various treks which are carefully graded according to difficulty and vary
in duration from 2 hours easy walking to a maximum of 5 hours, medium difficult
walking, usually more uphill! Most of the tours are full day excursions with
a stop for lunch, whilst some tours also include a swim at one of the many wonderful
secluded coves in the area. Keya supplies all caving and canyoning equipment
but clients should bring their own walking shoes plus packed lunches and plenty
of drinking water.
Keya also arrange half-day kayaking courses for beginners on the lower reaches
of the beautiful River Cedrino, plus full day coastal kayaking, once you have
gained proficiency. Jeep safaris with no walking are also available. Approx.
prices per person from £20 half-day and £25 - £35 full day.

Scuba Diving: Fabio, our old friend, is a qualified diving instructor and runs
a diving school in Cala
Gonone where he organises everything from half-day taster
sessions to professional dive master courses.. Being a local born and bred he
has intimate knowledge of all the best dive sites in the area! If scuba diving’s
your passion, you have to visit Sardinia, and we can accommodate you in the Abba
Virde Apartments or Aqua
Dolce Apartments, both within easy walking distance of the harbour in Cala
Gonone where the dive boats are moored. |
